Sending Get Well Flowers to a Perth Hospital

Before you send flowers to a hospital, check two things, because a florist's website usually will not tell you.

• Some wards do not allow fresh flowers at all. Intensive care, and many oncology and immunocompromised wards, restrict flowers and plant material. If you are not sure what ward they are on, ask a family member before ordering, or send to the home instead.
  
  
• Wards do not have vases. Send something that arrives finished, in its own vessel, rather than a wrapped bouquet a nurse has to deal with.
  
  When you order for a hospital, include the patient's full name, the ward and the room number. Without them, flowers are left at reception rather than delivered to the bedside.
